Governor Obado speaks publicly on the gruesome murder of Sharon Otieno

Migori Governor Okoth Obado has publicly spoken on the brutal murder of Rongo University student Sharon Otieno.

While addressing the press, Obado denied having any involvement in Sharon’s murder and that the accusations leveled against him had given his family sleepless nights.

“As a law abiding citizen, I want to state here very clearly that I have nothing and absolutely nothing to do with the cruel death of Sharon,” he said.

He called on government agencies mandated with investigating the murder to speed up investigations so that the killers can be brought to book.

Governor Obado also asked the media and politicians to stop interfering with information and let the investigators have time to do their jobs.

Okoth Obado who was accompanied by his children and his wife expressed his condolences towards the family of the slain student.

“On my behalf and on the behalf of my family, I want to send my heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Sharon,” he said.

He spoke after he was interrogated by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations detectives in Kisumu, on Tuesday.
