Officers stormed the house of one the Dusit complex attacker and discovered a hole dug in the house.

According to reports, the security forces believed that the hole had acted as a makeshift armory.

Neighbours who had tipped the police after they recognized the car which he used at the crime scene.

House cordoned off

The assailant was described by neighbours as a friendly person who was rarely in the house.

On Wednesday the police cordoned off the house as they dusted the premise to find more evidence.

Reports also indicated that a cache of weapons has also been recovered in the operation.

Security analysts noted that terror attack at dusit complex was well coordinated adding that it involved a suicide bomber and armed militants.

Assailants killed

The government announced that the assailants had been killed and police had occupied the whole complex.

Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr. Fred Matiang’i confirmed that security teams had taken control of Dusit complex which was attacked on Tuesday afternoon.

He assured Kenyans that the country is safe urging members of the public to continue with their normal operations.
