WCB’s signee Rayvanny has suffered a major setback after his brand new song “Mwanza” that he featured his boss Diamond Platnumz was banned hours after being released.
The new song have been banned from being played on any TV and Radio stations in Tanzania on grounds the song don’t have the required moral threshold for public consumption due its lyrics.
The Magufuli’s government through the Tanzania Music Regulatory Board popularly known as BASATA have ordered all radio and TV station to comply with the new order.
“Wimbo 'MWANZA' wa Wasanii aliomshirikisha umefungiwa na Baraza la Sanaa Tanzania 'BASATA' kupigwa mahali Popote kwa sababu za kuwa Unahamasisha Masuala yasiyofaa” reads a statement from BASATA.
On YouTube the song is already Trending at Number one with over 920K views within 24 hours.
This is a third song to be banned from WCB Wasafi. In January Diamond’s two songs Halleluyah featuring Morgan Heritage and featuring Rick Ross were also banned.

The body (BASATA) listed a total of 15 songs that were blacklisted for airplay on any media station in Tanzania.

Nyimbo hizo zilitolewa ma wasanii na kusambazwa katika vyombo ,mbalimbali ya utangazaji na mitandao ya kijamii. Others who were affected by the January ban included; Nay wa Mitego, Snura, Madee, Gigy Money, Barnaba classic, among others.
