As Kenya prepares to play three friendly matches in readiness for their upcoming continental competitions, seven players are now the talk of the day amongst fans after Harambee Stars head coach Stanley Okumbi named his teams.

The players include, Gor Mahia midfielder Kenneth Muguna, Tusker midfielder Humphrey Mieno, Ulinzi Stars defender Mohammed Hassan, Zoo Kericho striker Nicholas Kipkirui, Kariobangi Sharks forward Masoud Juma plus Kakamega High School duo of James Mazembe and Alpha Onyango.

Muguna is trending for not being included in any of the squads and for being linked with a move away from K’Ogalo to Albanian side KF Tirana.

Mieno is also being talked about for being snubbed in Okumbi’s squads as Masoud Juma takes his share for being a regular name in Harambee Stars lately.

Youngsters James Mazembe and Alpha Onyango are being mentioned regularly for being included in the national team from high school.

Ulinzi Stars’ Rio and Zoo Kericho’s Kipkirui have earned slots in the lineup which will be up against Togo and Mauritania; a thing most fans feel is a good reward for the player’s hard work.

Apart from Mauritania and Togo whose matches will be played on August 31 and September 4 respectively, Kenya will play against Mozambique on September 2.
