The festive season is finally here, a time for family gatherings, sharing meals, and spreading joy.

For many households across Kenya, Christmas is about creating simple, meaningful moments that bring people together.

Whether it’s the excitement of preparing a special meal, exchanging small gifts, or enjoying the company of friends and family, the act of giving becomes the heart of the season.

However, the joy of the season is often dimmed for some families, especially when resources are stretched. That’s where acts of kindness, no matter how big or small, become priceless.

This year, in the spirit of giving back, Safaricom launched a campaign to bring smiles and hope to communities across the country.

Sambaza Furaha: Countrywide caravan to celebrate Kenyans

Through its annual festive campaign, ‘Sambaza Furaha na Safaricom, the region’s leading technology Company, has been spreading joy and gratitude by surprising customers with thoughtful gifts.

The campaign, which officially kicked off on November 18 in the Rift Valley, took a caravan tour across five key regions: Rift Valley, Mt. Kenya, Greater Western, Nairobi, and the Coast.

The five-week initiative saw lucky Kenyans walk away with live goats, chickens, food hampers, airtime, and other exciting treats.

It also uplifted communities and embraced the true spirit of Christmas by making celebrations a little brighter for families.

Not just the gifts, Safaricom empowers communities along the way

As part of its rollout, Safaricom not only spread festive surprises but also engaged communities through impactful activities.

Moreover, along the caravan’s journey, the company empowered communities through S-Hook workshops for the youth, business clinic activations for entrepreneurs, and free medical camps.

Additionally, new franchise shops were opened to enhance accessibility to Safaricom’s services at the community level.

Safaricom’s message to Kenyans

While announcing the campaign, Safaricom CEO Dr Peter Ndegwa spoke of the company’s dedication to making a difference.

Safaricom has a longstanding commitment to making a positive impact in the communities it serves. Over the years, we have dedicated our resources to various community development initiatives, and this Christmas, we are bringing festive cheer to our customers and every Kenyan, and we shall also continue spreading the Christmas cheer to the underprivileged across the country.

Ndegwa also emphasised that the campaign would focus on giving back to underprivileged communities, ensuring that everyone gets to experience the joy of the season.

Safaricom’s ‘Sambaza Furaha’ Christmas campaign doesn't stop here. We are known for our brilliant promotions, and this season is no exception. As part of our commitment to making the holidays special for everyone, we are rolling out a series of exciting promotions and discounts for both new and existing customers.

The campaign is Safaricom’s way of giving back and appreciating its customers for their continued support as the company marks 24 years of transforming living.
