Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has announced unexpected changes in his life.

The vocal MP who has always attracted love and hate from the public in equal measure announced that he has stopped insulting people and asked for forgiveness from all the people he had offended before.

“Kuanzia Leo matusi nimewacha katika jina la YESU Kristo Mkombozi wetu. We must serve the people of Kenya. All those who I annoyed when I was fighting for the oppressed to forgive me and I have forgiven those who oppressed me too,” he said on his Instagram page.

He also said that he had forgiven all those that had offended him too.

The father of two has always made headlines from the time he was a student leader at the University of Nairobi for not mincing his words whenever he is provoked by anyone.

He at one time found himself at loggerheads with law enforcement officers after he allegedly abused President Uhuru Kenyatta by calling him a puppy.

His change of heart and character comes even as he moves to the Court of Appeal after the High Court in Nairobi nullified his August 8 2017 election as the Embakasi East Member of Parliament on grounds that the election was marred by irregularities and illegalities.
