Details of Raila's meeting with Business Community

The NASA leader is set to have a high profile meeting with the business community on the current political situation in the country.

NASA leader Raila Odinga is on Friday expected to meet with the business community in London, United Kingdom.

According to Odinga's spokesman Dennis Onyango, Odinga is set to hold meetings with leaders from the UK business community and politicians from the European nation.

The meetings, according to sources who spoke to the Nation, will focus on the NASA leader's reasons for withdrawing from the October 26 repeat presidential election.

Odinga is also scheduled to give his views to the business community on how the country can continue on the path of reforms.

The Nasa leader who flew out of Kenya on Wednesday night will also meet with Kenyans living in the UK before flying back to the country on Saturday morning.

Odinga on Friday will deliver a one-hour lecture titled “Kenya’s Next Test: Democracy, Elections and the Rule of Law” at Chatham House in London.

On Thursday, the NASA leader had a meeting with the Head of the Anglican Church, The Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby.

He also held a meeting with former UN Deputy Secretary General, Lord Mark Malloch Brown and the UK Minister of State for Africa, Rory Stewart OBE on the current where they discussed the current political situation in Kenya.

An official from the US State Department on Thursday indicated that Odinga was free to visit the United States amid speculations that the NASA leader had been blocked from visiting the country.
