The 2017 edition of Groove Awards will be going down on June 1 in Nairobi with the aim of appreciating musician in the Gospel industry.
This year’s edition will see special guests grace the occasion in a bid to reward outstanding musicians who are always preaching the gospel.
President Uhuru Kenyatta and His Deputy William Ruto are expected to grace the main gala of this year’s Groove Awards.
According to Kevin Mulei the founder of Groove Awards, this year’s theme will revolve around unity and continuity as we approach the election period.

This could br the main reason that might have attracted President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy to attend the main Gala of groove awards.

“Our theme for this year revolves around unity and continuity as we approach the electioneering period. Music is universal and we want to unite Kenyans” Mulei told Monday Blues.
The Main Gala of Groove Awards will be going down at the Kenyatta International Convection Centre (KICC).
The Groove awards has been celebrating talents across the continent for a number of years now. The groove tour came to an over the weekend in Karatina with musicians performing for people around the country.
