Mojo Morgan, a member of the celebrated reggae band Morgan Heritage, is stepping into the spotlight with his solo debut. The multi-Grammy-winning artist will release his first single, 'Make It', on 17 January 2025.
The song, a tribute to the late Peetah Morgan, combines powerful storytelling with collaborations from some of Jamaica’s biggest names, including Popcaan, Chronic Law, and Pablo YG.
Together, they tell a moving story of resilience, highlighting the struggles and triumphs of rising above life’s challenges.
"This song honours Peetah Morgan, his work, and the legacy he built with Morgan Heritage," said Otis Sicheron, co-producer of the single and CEO of JA For Life.
Peetah Morgan, the lead singer of the reggae band Morgan Heritage, passed away on 25 February 2024 at the age of 46.
Peetah co-founded Morgan Heritage with his siblings and was instrumental in the band's success, contributing to their Grammy-winning achievements.

A new chapter in Mojo’s career
Produced by Mojo Morgan and JA For Life, Make It marks the beginning of Mojo’s solo journey while staying true to his roots. The song will also feature on his debut album, Mr. Mojo Rising.
Mojo shared his thoughts on the transition: "This single and the entire album embody what we’ve built as Morgan Heritage. It’s important for me to carry forward that legacy."

The song also reflects on the Morgan Heritage legacy and the group’s commitment to uniting people through music. Mojo expressed excitement for the future, adding that plans for a 2025 world tour are already underway.
