Sue and Jonnie actor Daddie Marto has traveled to Uganda for a traditional wedding ceremony to declare his intentions to her girlfriend Koku Lwanga’s family.

The excited actor who also doubles up as a Director, TV Presenter and Events Host took his boys for the ceremony which he had to meet her girlfriend’s aunty first as required by the traditions.

Taking to his Instagram page, Marto revealed that everything went according to the plan as they were assured of being received well on the main event.

“So here is the #MaNaPaTau story. First the boys and I had to go introduce ourselves to @koku_lwanga 's auntie, present a letter to go to her father, and declare my intentions clearly, get stuffed with a full chicken that I must finish (luwombo), offer a few gifts, and hope for the best! This is the ceremony referred to as #Kukyala (sema kama mkamba) or #KuhadaIthigi locally. It comes before the #Kwanjula Or #Ruracio locally. It was so beautiful, it went well and assured us we shall be received well on the main event! We thank God for those who stood with us! ,” he captioned.

Kukyala in Buganda is the bridal ceremony that a man goes to visit the bride to be parents to give their clear intentions on the girl they want to marry.

On arrival they meet the girl’s aunt where they hand her a letter to give to the father of the girl and the man gives few gifts to the family.
