Morgan Bahati, the eldest son of Kenyan singer Kevin Bahati, has warmed hearts with his honesty and ambitions.
In a video shared by his mother, Diana Marua, Morgan revealed a personal struggle that has affected his confidence for a long time.
Morgan opens up about his insecurity
During a mother-son conversation, Morgan admitted that his facial appearance has been a source of insecurity.
He shared how the pimples on his face have impacted his confidence and even kept him from going out sometimes.
My skin and facial appearance… You see the pimples on my face, they’ve always been my insecurity. I don’t feel like going to places because I feel like people are staring at me with judgmental faces.
He added that the issue worsens when he is at school, as the salty water used there seems to aggravate his skin condition.
My problem is when am at home my skin is better. But when I go to school the pimples are all over... I think the biggest factor is the school water because it's salty.
Diana Marua, in support of her son, revealed that his insecurity had made him avoid appearing in their videos or joining the family for dinners.

Seeking solutions & glow-up goals
Determined to help her son regain his confidence, Diana took Morgan to a specialist to address the skin problem.
Morgan, on his part, expressed his dream of achieving a 'glow-up and outlined his aspirations for self-improvement.
Like have some abs, not to big and not too small, but ile you are meduim and you loo smart... In a room like I be the one that stands out.
Morgan also described his ideal physique, saying he wanted medium abs that would make him look smart and confident. For him, achieving a clear face was the first step in his self-improvement journey.
I just want a serious glow-up. Like, clear glass skin, hit the gym, grow out my hair, and get that curly hair—that’s so sexy for men... I want to be sexy for everyone, mostly girls. I want nikipita kwa room all the girls would just be.... die for me.

Ambitious aspirations
Beyond personal transformation, Morgan also shared his career aspirations. When Diana asked him about his future plans, the young man confidently outlined his dream of becoming a lawyer and a politician.
I want to be a lawyer for a few years and also a politician because I will study political science. I want to be a leader never seen before in Africa.
He emphasised his desire to create policies that would rehabilitate young people and provide them with jobs to improve their lives.
“Those in government are there for selfish reasons,” he lamented, highlighting his vision for selfless leadership.
His father Bahati, who ran unsuccessfully for the Mathare MP seat in 2022, responded to the aspirations with pride and humour. He jokingly asked Kenyans to vote for him before his son got a chance to challenge him politically.
Please vote for me. Have you heard my son? He said he would run against me and remove me from office if I didn’t work. He’ll get an ID card in three years.
Morgan’s journey in the Bahati family
Morgan’s bond with the Bahati family began in 2014 when Bahati adopted him from a children’s home in Mathare. He was just two years old at the time, and the singer had visited the home for a thanksgiving show.
Since then, Morgan has seamlessly integrated into the family and shares a close relationship with Bahati’s other children.
