David Rudisha takes 92 year old granny to court

He wants the granny moved out

World Athletics 800 meters record holder David Rudisha has taken a 92 year old granny to court, over ownership of a parcel of land.

Rudisha is asking the court to compel the granny to move out of the 5.3 acres of land he claims to have bought in September 2015.

The world champion says that his brother Benson Rudisha, and the woman’s grandson Franklin Naiguran helped him strike the land deal with the woman back in 2015, but the woman has refuted the claims of ever selling her land.

He further claims that he went ahead and deposited a sum Sh1.3 Million into an account belonging to Silvia Naiguran, who is wife to the woman’s grandson Naiguran after his brother Benson signed a sale agreement prepared by Banjamin Musyoki, a clerk at Jumba and Company Advocates in Kilgoris.

The woman identified as Nashuru Muriango while testifying told the court that she never entered into any agreement with Rudisha or received any money from him over the sale of the land.

“I have not sold my land to anybody. I live there and only death will make me leave the land, and I have instructed my children that I will be buried there,” she said.

The case is set for another hearing on March 7.
