Newly appointed Government Spokesperson, Isaac Mwaura, has outlined the roles of his deputies as he commences his duties.
The trio of former TV presenter Mwanaisha Chidzuga, Kass FM journalist Joshua Arap Sang, and political analyst Gabriel Muthuma has been selected to assist Mwaura in the spokesperson's office.
Mwaura clarified that Chidzuga will handle mainstream media, whereas Muthuma will focus on emerging and new media.
"Mwanaisha will be dealing with mainstream media, while Gabriel will concentrate on new media," Mwaura stated in a press release.
On the other hand, Joshua Arap Sang will be responsible for managing radio content and grassroots media.
"Renowned journalist Joshua Arap Sang will also be assisting us with radio content and grassroots media. We continue to grow," Mwaura added.

In addition to establishing his team, Mwaura has met with ICT Cabinet Secretary Eliud Owalo and Principal Secretary Edward Kisiangani to coordinate their collaboration in message delivery.
Mwaura prays for his new office
On October 22, Mwaura, accompanied by a group of prayer partners, dedicated his office, emphasising the significance of commencing his new role with God.
"Dedicating my office with a group of Intercessors whom we have been praying with. It’s always good to start with GOD," he remarked.
Before assuming the role of the government spokesperson, Mwaura had expressed his intention to contest the Ruiru parliamentary seat but did not secure a party nomination.
Mwaura also announced his decision to make changes to his wardrobe, intending to forgo jeans and his signature kitenge attire, which has come to define his presence and make a bold fashion statement.
"Manzee! I am back to wearing suits, although I was enjoying the kitenge and jeans! Everything has its time, you know!" the former nominated senator wrote.

Mwaura was appointed to succeed Cyrus Oguna, who resigned in October last year to join the Siaya County Government as the Chief of Staff.
