Citizen TV’s Francis Gachuri beaten at NASA Meeting

Odinga is expected to make the much awaited announcement today.

Senior Citizen TV Reporter Francis Gachuri  was on Tuesday physically assaulted by a NASA  supporter at Wiper Headquarters.

Gachuri was covering was the NASA presser where Raila Odinga is expected to announce the next move for his coalition.

Sources who spoke to Pulselive.co.ke indicated that Journalists had staged a walkout from the meeting after the incident.

KTN reporter was also attacked during the incident while an NTV camera lady slapped. It is alleged that the Journalists were attacked on allegations that they are pro-Jubilee.

Director of Communication for ODM Party Phillip Etale has apologized following the incident at Wiper Headquarters.

“Dear Colleagues, I must say here what I saw was unfortunate, barbaric and archaic. I have reported the matter to Hon. Raila Odinga and he is not amused at all... A statement on the same will be released and the youths involved will be reprimanded. On behalf of NASA I apologise for the attack on my brother Gachuri and sister Jane of NTV. I am very disturbed.” Said Philip Etale
