Sany the famous bulldozer was spotted at the upmarket area of Gigiri on Thursday morning demolishing the Grand Manor hotel.

This comes after a  Nairobi court issued orders allowing the Nairobi County Government to demolish the multi-million hotel.

Security Threat

On Tuesday the court ruled that the hotel was a security threat since it is adjacent to the United Nations office and opposite the United States embassy.

Attraction is often communicated through non-verbal cues, with body language revealing more than words ever could. If you’re trying to determine whether a woman is interested in you, observing her body language can give you valuable insights.

Its proximity to the embassies was a major reason for the push to have it demolished, as the foreign missions wrote to the county government and the foreign affairs ministry to protest its construction.

The hotel belongs to Businessman Praful Kumar who was arrested by Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission (EACC) sleuths for allegedly attempting to bribe Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko.

EACC stated that Mr Praful had Ksh5 million on his person but Governor Sonko's office said that the businessman had offered the County boss Ksh1 million.

Corruption

The anti-graft body claimed that Mr Praful wanted Governor Sonko to allow the construction of the hotel which had been stopped by the Nairobi County Government.

Reports by Citizen TV claimed that the Gigiri area association had filed a complaint arguing that the construction of the hotel had violated physical planning regulations for the low-density estate.

The Interior Ministry asked the Nairobi County Government for technical advise since some of the embassies had allegedly threatened to move from Nairobi.
