Professional career
John Nyagarama has worked in the tea sector in Nyanza and Rift Valley, serving as a director at various tea factories such as Nyansiongo Tea Factory Company Limited and Chai Trading Company Limited and representing Nyamira in the Kenya Tea Development Agency (KTDA). He has also served as a director and chairman of Kenya Tea Packers Limited (KETEPA).
Political career
He is a member of ODM party, an affiliate of National Super Alliance, NASA.
Nyangarama will be facing Walter Nyambati (Jubilee) to defend his seat.
