Eric Omondi's brother responds after being accused of leaving unpaid Bills at a popular Joint

Fred Omondi distants himself from accusations of an unpaid bill

Eric Omondi’s brother, Fred Omondi responds after accusations of leaving an unpaid bill at a popular joint along Monmbasa road.

A city woman by the name Mary Sorty took to Facebook to accuse Fred Omondi of failing to pay for a bottle of liquor he had ordered leaving her to settle the Sh.5,850 bill since she was the one who served him.

The incident took place on Sunday 14 January at the Blend Lounge which is located in Mombasa Road.

Mary Claims that Fred Omondi ordered for a bottle of Johnnie Walker Black Label and left without footing any bills adding that she will be forced to pay the bills; from her salary since she served him.

“I am writing this while very annoyed with this celebrity called Fred Omondi. He is on the run with a pending bill he accrued yesterday night (Sunday) at the Blend Lounge on Mombasa road. I looked for his number and called him, but my phone calls to him were not going through because his mobile phone line was offline. I am now forced to settle the bill – Ksh5, 850 – from my salary,” Mary posted on Facebook on Monday, January 15.

Fred Omondi distanced himself from the claims and accused the woman of being an attention seeker.

I am shocked by the statement she (Mary) has made on Facebook. The pictures she has posted online were taken, when she had requested for selfies with me,” mentioned Fred Omondi.

Mr. Omondi further explained that the bottle of whisky was a token of appreciation from his friend Kiki after he compered at her party.

“There’s a lady friend of mine called Lisa Kiki, who threw a white party at the Blend Lounge on Sunday evening. He had requested me to emcee at the bash, and because she is my good friend, I decided to emcee at the event without demanding any pay,” said Mr. Omondi.

“Ms. Kiki had offered to buy me Hennessy whiskey, but I, instead, opted for Johnnie Walker Black Label. Flashy Nairobi businessman Gor Semelang’o was among those who turned up for the party. He bought over 50 bottles of Hennessy whiskey. We took enough liquor.” Added the comedian.
