Kenyan celebrity Barber George Dufanda has been featured on one of the biggest Gossip sites in America “The Shade Room”.

The Shade Room, which enjoys a following of over 15.4 million followers on Instagram, shared a number of Dufanda’s haircuts acknowledging his efforts and creativity in the Hair and beauty industry.

“Okay, #Roommates, we’ve seen some dope barber-work, but this barber we came across has SKILLS!.The barber is based out of #Kenya and is clearly very gifted in the creative department! Castro's man cave

Dufanda, who runs the Castro's man cave, is changing how grooming is done and has been shaving artsy patterns into haircuts long before anyone appreciated the art.

“After I do a cut to a person and when I take a picture and shows it to them they are like: ‘wow’ I feel good when they appreciate my creativity,” Dufanda told BBC.

He rose to fame after winning the inaugural Afro Hair Awards in the Barber of the Year category three years ago and now he’s the hotshot in the hair grooming business.

Notable public figures

Among his clientele are notable public figures and celebrities in Kenya ranging from politicians, artists, presenters, footballers to local media personalities.

Just to mention a few; Timmy Tdat, Timeless Noel, Hassan Joho, Hamson Kingi, Juma Jux, Ben Pol, Master Piece, Mwalimu Rachael, Martin Kimathi, Rosa Ree, Nandy, Andullaswamad Shariff Nassir.

Flamboyant Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho who is one of his many high-profile clients happens to be a generous tipper and at one time he paid him Sh10,000 ($100) in one sitting.

Owino’s cheeky apology

In December last year, Babu Owino’s cheeky apology to his Starehe counterpart Charles Njagua also made it to "The Shade Room.

In his apology, Owino had stated that he did not slap his fellow MP (Jaguar) but unfortunately his cheeks moved towards his hands during their 2017 confrontation.
