Nation Media Group makes major changes in top management after mass exodus

This follows a recent mass exodus that saw Linus Kaikai and Larry Madowo leave

The Nation Media Group (NMG) has made major changes in its top management, days after the company faced a mass exodus of employees.

In an announcement on Thursday, the company said that it had appointed Alex Kobia the Managing Director, Broadcast Division and Francis Munywoki the Managing Director, Newspaper Division.

In other appointments; Rashmi Ghugh will become the new Group Head of Digital, James Sogoti the new General Manager-Commercial, Emma Ngutu will take charge of the Marketing department while Dorine Ogolo will become the new Procurement Manager.

Changes at NMG

NMG’s management changes come just days after the company announced the appointment of Stephen Dunbar-Johnson to the Nation Media Group Board of Directors.

Stephen Dunbar is the president, international of The New York Times Company. In his position at The NYT, Dunbar is responsible for ‘the oversight and strategic development of the Times Company's international businesses.

Before joining NYT, Dunbar worked as the Publisher of the International Herald Tribune (IHT) and spent over 12 years working at the Financial Times.
