WCB signee Raymond Shaban Mwakyusa alias Rayvanny has been rocked with controversy, after being accused of stealing his new song Naogopa from an upcoming singer called Riser Stardia.

Addressing the dilemma surrounding the new song, Rayvanny mentioned that, those are just false allegations as he recorded the song in question back in 2014, even before joining Wasafi but decided to re-do it in 2019.

He added that, singer Riser Stardia, is the one who copied his song and went ahead to shoot its video, hence the confusion.

In a post on Instagram, Vanny Boy shared a short clip in company of friends listening to Naogopa back in 2014.

“Napenda ifike time watu wawe wakuchunguza mambao kabla ya kuongea. Sijafika level ya kwenda kuchukua wimbo wa mtu for what, mimi naweza kuandika hap ahata nyimbo 40 na zote zikawa hit" said Rayvanny.

Love Life

He added that “#Naogopa 2014 Song Produced by #Youngkizzmorento New Version 2019 produced by @gachib AND IT'S NUMBER ONE 1 SONG NOW didn't know it was a Hit. BEHAVE YOURSELF”

On November 29, Raymond uploaded a new version of Naogopa on YouTube, a song that was lauded by a good number of his fans in the manner which he packaged and delivered its lyrics.

The song which appears to be addressing the dilemma surrounding his love life, garnered over 641K views within 2 days and already trending at number one in Tanzania and 4 in Kenya.

Arguably, the Tetema hit-maker is among best song writers and vocalists in the Bongo flava Industry.
