A cheeky female air passenger was caught on camera using an overhead air vent to dry her knickers.

The unnamed woman was flying with Ural Airlines from the resort city of Antalya, in southern Turkey, to the Russia n capital Moscow.

Eyewitnesses said the woman did not seem remotely embarrassed as she spent at least 20 minutes drying her underwear under the vent.

An onlooker with a smartphone filmed the surreal scene as she held up her panties above her head and moved them about in the airflow to dry them.

Other passengers were reportedly too shocked to comment on the woman's unusual and very open laundry technique.

One anonymous eyewitness said: "Everybody was looking with interest and confusion, but everybody remained silent."

However, the video has sparked plenty of comments after it was posted on several video-sharing platforms.

Netizen Dmitriy Biryukov speculated: "Maybe the takeoff was sort of extreme, so now she has to dry those."

One online poster suggested the pants may have belonged to a child travelling with the woman.

Ravil Zakharov said: "This is not the worst thing in the modern world" while Alexandra Alexandra added: "Those aren’t ones of an adult. Looks like they belong to a kid."

And Heych bola-bola noted: "This woman has the intellect of a dog... This is so sad... Half the country are like her."
