If you have had a miscarriage, you don’t have to get worried about conception. Studies show that women who miscarry usually fall pregnant again and carry it to term.
However, there are a few things you should put in mind if you are trying to conceive following a miscarriage:
1. Take time to grieve
It’s difficult to deal with the loss of your baby and you should take time to grieve first. Have the time to ask why you and don’t let people pressure you not to grieve. Grieving is part of your health and it will help you come to terms with all that happened. This will help in getting prepared for another baby emotionally and psychologically.
2. Don’t stress
You may feel worried that you might lose your pregnancy again. But really, you shouldn’t stress about it. Stress affects your fertility and may prevent conception. Or still, you may fall pregnant but it won’t be as healthy because you are under stress.
3. Take care of your health
Remember that your body has to be in good health for easier conception. Rest and sleep for not less than eight hours each day and also exercise. Even though you are still grieving, don’t stress eat. Eat healthy and avoid anything that may cause infections. Take care of your vagina as well since vaginal infections could spread to the uterus and lower chances of conception.
4. Quit harmful habits
If you used to smoke, drink or do drugs, quit. The goal is to remain as healthy as possible and stay away from anything that lowers your fertility levels.
5. Talk to your doctor
It’s important to talk to your doctor so that they can advise you accordingly. They will prescribe the vitamins you should be taking to raise your chances and also on the best time to have sex for you to conceive.
