Tapered cuts are super cute and every woman should consider getting a tapered cut at least once in their life.
A taper cut is one that starts at the top and gradually gets shorter towards the nape of the neck. The difference between this cut and a mohawk is that the sides are not fully clean shaven, just shorter than the top. I like to think of this style as a mohawk that went to Harvard lol. It's a very versatile style in the sense, you can do a lot with the longer hair that is left at the top. For instance, you can do twists out or Bantu knots at night then have curly hair at the top the next morning, you could also consider coloring the top hair or even the whole head, you could have the top hair turned into locs if you're going for a more grungy style, you could have a side cut or a pattern on the side to sort of have a side part style. The options are so many. Another thing I love about the style is that it's age appropriate for both young and older women and can be rocked to work, school and even informal setups. Oh and, if your hair is the stubborn kind, you can have a weave or crochet hair added so that it looks like real hair.
For people afraid to cut all the hair, this would be a great option to start with.
