We have all been there. You like someone so much that you almost lose your mind. Obsession. When they don’t like you back, it hurts deeply but you still can’t stop thinking about them. You hate it but you just can’t help it.

Look here, obsessing over someone who has no feelings for you is a waste of time and torture for your mind and heart. To stop obsessing over this person you like, try out these tips:

1. Out of sight out of mind

If it’s possible, avoid meeting them or situations that bring you together. It won’t be easy to restrict yourself but it pays off with time. Slowly, you will be able to forget about this person and move on with your life.

2. Focus on their flaws

When you deeply like someone, you tend to overlook their imperfections. Once you start focusing on their negatives, your feelings for them will start fading and you will forget about them.

3. Unfollow them on social media

This is a hard one but it’s good for your mental well-being. Plus, you won’t feel the need to stalk them on social media once you have unfollowed them. You can also block them so that you are not easily tempted to reach out to them.

4. Get something to do

Keep busy always and before you know it, they will be out of your mind. Staring at their photos for hours won’t help you forget them. It’s actually best if you can get rid of anything that reminds you about them.

5. Realize that you don’t need this person in your life

If a person does not want you in their life, why would you want them to be in your life? Once you realize that you actually don’t need this person and they don’t play any role in your life, it is going to be easier to stop obsessing over them.
