NTV reporter throws shade at journalists who have moved to Citizen TV

weeh, zero chills!

NTV reporter Ken Mijungu on Wednesday took a jibe at his former colleagues who have joined the mass exodus to Citizen TV.

Mijungu, who is one of the few NTV faces who have stayed on at the Nation Media Group, threw shade over Citizen TV's failure to secure any rights for the highly anticipated World Cup.

"I thought it was an earthquake yaani not even a tremor, as is showing the World Cupcitizentvkenya couldn’t afford a game to counter just some aped shows with recycled faces with a whole thinktank having shifted base tucheze," the reporter-cum-news anchor tweeted.

The NMG-owned TV station has been left hurting from what appeared to be a stampede of its personnel moving to the competition.

Former NTV Managing Editor Linus Kaikai was among the first high-profile journalists to join Citizen TV.

Celebrated journalist Larry Madowo, who had been the poster child for NTV news reports, later resigned and joined the BBC as Africa's Business Editor.

Others who have left NTV for the SK Macharia owned station include Victoria Rubadiri, Enock Sikolia, and Jamila Mohamed.
