I might be the next one – Sharon Otieno’s mother says after brutal murder of her daughter

Sharon Otieno's mother fears for her life, believes she might be next

The mother of Sharon Otieno, the Rongo University student brutally murdered in Homa Bay County, now fears that those behind the death of her daughter could be targeting her.

Speaking during a ceremony held at her home where various women leaders were present, Melida Auma pleaded with the government to offer her family protection.

"These days I even take my bath here I am not secure because I might be the next person," Ms. Auma said.

Sharon was murdered and her badly mutilated body dumped in Kodera Forest. Her demise came hours after she was abducted alongside Nation journalist Barrack Oduor who escaped death by a whisker.
