The body of Kimani was discovered at around 1pm on Thursday.

She allegedly met two friends at her house on Wednesday night after returning from South Sudan where she runs a family business.

Police however, say that circumstances surrounding her death are not clear but investigations are underway to identify her killers.

“I came to check on her since my mother had called and she wasn’t picking. I sent her a message but she never replied yet we were to meet, since she was to travel to Dubai today,” the brother added.

According to her father, Kimani had just bought a house in Ruaka but opted to move Kilimani three months a go because she wanted to live near town.

“I could have paid to save her life if it was a possibility. What we are requesting for is to know her killers and why she was killed,” lamented the father.

Reports indicate that she was a former Nation Media Group employee.
