Analysts reveal 3 reasons that forced President Kenyatta to reshuffle cabinet and PSs

What compelled President Uhuru Kenyatta to reshuffle cabinet, PSs

Yesterday’s decision by President Kenyatta to reorganize his administration comes in the wake of reports of divisions in Jubilee and corruption scandals that have rocked his administration.

Analysts have fronted different reasons that compelled the President to make the changes that saw him nominate some allies to opposition leader Raila Odinga to key government positions.

Following the March 09 handshake with Raila Odinga, it was necessary to bring leaders from the opposition on board. Analysts opine that this is the reason behind the nomination of Raila’s seasoned allies to top positions.

With many corruption scandals rocking his administration, a change at the helm of the ministries rocked in corruption scandals was necessary to pave way for investigations.

Among the ministry implicated are the Ministry of Trade and Cooperatives, Finance and Ministry of Devolution.

It is not clear whether the decision to move Adan Mohamed from the ministry of Trade to the Ministry of Ministry of East Africa Community and Regional Development was informed by the recent contraband sugar scandal that saw Kikuyu Council of Elders demanding for his resignation.

With close to a year gone in his final term in office, the president is running out of time to cement his legacy. Putting in place an efficient team that will work tirelessly in achieving the big 4 agenda that is the core of his legacy was critical.

Analysts opine that it is for this reason that the President found it necessary to reshuffle his team and bring on board new talent.
