Citizen TV announces major changes after poaching top talent from rival TV stations

Kenya’s leading Television station Citizen TV has announced major changes to its programming, days after poaching top talent from rival TV stations.

In the new changes brought in along with its recently unveiled dream team, the S.K Macharia owned TV channel will have the Power Breakfast show replaced with a new show called ‘

The changes were announced by the Royal Media Services (RMS) Director of Strategy and Innovation Linus Kaikai through his twitter account.

“MEDIA SCENE ALERT: breakfast show premiers on Monday July 23 at 6am on ,” he wrote.

Mr. Kaikai also announced that Citizen Extra had been scrapped off and will be replaced by 'Sema na Citizen' which will air from 11AM to 2PM.

“NEW on #SemaNaCitizen mid-morning national conversation in Kiswahili. Starts Monday July 23,” said Kaikai.

Day Break will be hosted by Joey Muthengi, Fred Indimuli, Waihiga Mwaura and Willis Raburu while Sema na Citizen will be hosted by the new Swahili news team which comprises of Rashid Abdalla, Mashirima Kapombe, Swaleh Mdoe, Nimrod Taabu, Mwanahamisi Hamadi, Lulu Hassan and Jamila Mohamed.
