Despite it all, Khlo didnt immediately cut Tristan out of her life. She says shes forgiven Tristan (and Jordyn) and shes successfully co-parenting with her ex. The whole things been a wild ride, even by Kardashian standards.

So, where does the couple stand? Only televisions first family (and probably KUWTKs producers) really know the answer to that question, but that certainly hasnt stopped the rumors. The latest? That Khlo and Tristan are expecting a second child. KoKo shut it down , but that hasnt really drowned out the speculation since it's something she and Tristan have literally discussed on an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Fans are convinced these two are cozier than they're letting on.

However, if the couples body language over the years is any indication, theyre probably still broken up and arent doing much family planning ATMjust ask the three body language experts who weighed in. There isn't and hasn't been anything romantic between these two in a long while.

August 2019: Khlo's guard is way, way up.

"Khlos facial expression signals annoyance and impatience, you see it through the way her eyes and lips are unengaged when she speaks," says Karen Donaldson , body language expert. That Khlo is avoiding eye contact, turning her body away from Tristan's, and stepping back as he approaches is a major signal that she's just not comfortable with him near her anymore. "This indicates that there is a disinterest and that she's trying to avoid him," Donaldson adds. Though she's not saying it to him directly, Khlo body language is begging Tristan to back off.

January 2019: Even before the breakup, they were distant from each other.

A couple walking out of sync is a biggie. "When couples walk in tandem, same leg and side by side, it signals that their relationship is harmonious and solid," says Donaldson. "The closer a couple is when walking together indicates the level of intimacy and care for one another. There is a gap between the two as they walk, which can indicate distance in their relationship."And it doesn't help that Khlo facial expression seems unengaged, Donaldson adds.

August 2018: Khlo wasn't Tristan's priority.

In this photo, Tristan is walking ahead of heralthough one leg is with her, the other is way ahead of her, Terri Orbuch, PhD, author of 5 Simple Steps to Take Your Marriage From Good to Great and professor at Oakland University in Michigan says. His body language in this photo isnt saying that hes happy or feeling close to her. He doesn't have her on his mind at this moment.

As for Khlo? The fact that shes behind him (and that theyre not walking in sync), is an indicator that theyre not in sync in the relationship. But the double hand grasp is really telling, according to the experts. Shes hanging on for dear life, Lillian Glass , PhD, a body language expert says. Shes literally running after him.

July 2018: They've always been on different paths, though they might not have known it.

And there's that gap again. The couples body language reveals they have no desire to be close. As Khlo strides ahead on her own, Tristan is lagging behind and seems to be veering off in a different direction. Hes leaning away and keeping his physical distance, Glass says. He doesnt even look at her.

Translation? That means that hes ready for her to go her own way, Glass says. And shes ready, too.

July 2018: Their relationship started looking forced.

After news of Tristan's cheating broke, the couple was spotted at dinner in L.A. and even though theyre there together, according to the experts, things lookdistant. There is no connection between the two from a body language standpoint, Glass says. Theyre not looking at each other, not leaning in, and both seem to have pretty tense postures. Its like two staged props, Glass says.

March 2018: One way or another, something always came between them.

A photo from the same night starts to indicate a different dynamic between the couple. While Tristan appears to be giving a speech, Khlo hides behind Kylie Jennerusing her sister almost like a shield. Its like theres a block between them says Glass. Its a literal barrier that prevents them from getting close.

March 2018: The physical attraction between them was strong.

At Tristan's birthday party in L.A., things looked snuggly between the couple. Theyre leaning into each other and looking close, but with a twist. In this picture, you can see one of Khlos legs is benta flirtatious pose, Orbuch says. Her body language is giving off a sexy, flirty vibe. She is saying, I'm happy with him, and I want to be seen as a sexy, flirty woman.

Tristian appears to be digging it, Orbuch says. Although he is tall and could easily be standing up straight, he is leaning slightly toward her. This represents bonding and closeness on both parts, she explains. He is saying, I'm happy and proud with her.

February 2018: They really wanted to be able to maintain a strong connection.

At a dinner in Los Angeles when Khlo was still pregnant (and before videos of Tristan with other women surfaced in April), things looked pretty good for the soon-to-be parents. Their bodies are turned in toward each other, rather than away from each other, says Orbuch.It looks like they fit each other. They are leaning in toward each other, which means they are interested in being close and bonded.

June 2017: Their goal was always to be a united front, things just turned out a little differently.

"Both Tristan and Khlo's upper bodies are turned into one another," says Donaldson. She says sharing personal space is usually a great sign because it demonstrates how close a couple is, or wants to be. Plus, touching heads is a "display of a tight union and united front." But, "Tristan is holding Khlo's shoulder in a casual hold," Donaldson points out. It's not the most passionate embrace. But, then again, Donalson cuts him some slack: "This could have also been caused by the confined space in which they took the photo, which looks like a mini photo booth."

December 2016: Khlo wasn't getting back as much as she was putting into the relationship.

"This image look staged, and choreographed to create the perfect loving effect rather than being spontaneous, authentic and genuinely loving," says Donaldson. Tristan's hand slung casually over Khlo shoulder is a possessive move. Donaldson would feel more confident about the whole situation if there were a handhold...clasp...loosely intertwined fingers even. Khlo barely-there grip signals there's a sense of security missing from this relationship.

"When a couple holds hands with intertwined fingers, the tighter the clasp from both individuals, the tighter their union and security they feel with each other," Donaldson explains. Khlo's clearly putting something into this relationship, but this body language makes it clear she's not getting much in return.
