Baringo Senator Gideon Moi has promised to make a landmark announcement as soon as the period for mourning his late father is completed.
Speaking in Kiambu on Wednesday, the Senator told his listeners that the announcement will outline details of his next political move.
The Senator was officially designated as the Moi family political head during the burial of former President Mzee Daniel Moi.
His elder brother, Rongai MP Raymond Moi, and various other political leaders charged him to revive the Kenya African National Union (KANU) party to honour his father's legacy.
Youth Agenda
While addressing a meeting of youth leaders and residents of Ruaka, Senator Moi assured them that he would return for indepth discussions.
"I want to ask you to give me a chance to finish our customs as the Kalenjin. When we lose someone we must mourn for 40 days. I have just left home twice, to Meru for the Building Bridges Initiative meeting because it is important and will benefit all of us and for the Nginyo funeral.
"Today [Wednesday] I came to have lunch with you, but I will come back for more discussions," the Senator stated.
