Chief Inspector William Chepkwony, a senior police officer attached to Mbungoni Police Base in Kisauni was on Tuesday morning found dead at a bar in Bombolulu, Mombasa County.
Police are yet to establish the circumstances surrounding Chepkwony's time.
His death came at a time when Kisauni area, where he is based, has been on the spotlight over gang killings and violence orchestrated by youth gangs in the area.
