A six-month-old baby boy has been abducted from his mum, set on fire and left to die near train tracks, it is alleged. He had been allegedly kidnapped less than 90 minutes earlier when two people came to his mum Hanna Barkers trailer door.
The mum immediately fled her home to escape from the alleged attackers, but when she returned, she discovered Levi missing.
The 'happy' baby boy was reported missing after two people allegedly sprayed his mum Hanna Barker with a chemical. Officers in Louisiana, US, received a 911 call at around 9.10pm, sparking a massive search for the boy in the Natchitoches area.
Obvious burns
Just over an hour later, at about 10.20pm, Natchitoches Police Department (NPD) received a report of a fire near railroad tracks.
Arriving at the scene, they discovered Levi with "obvious burns".
The 'smiley' youngster was taken to Natchitoches Regional Medical Center, fighting for life, before being airlifted to another hospital.
Severe
He passed away from his injuries police say.
A 25-year-old woman, from Natchitoches, has since been arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder over the death of Levi.
Felicia Marie-Nicole Smith was booked into the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center last Saturday, the NPD said in a statement.
