Procedure

Boil meat until it’s well cooked and tender. If the meat is already soft, you don’t have to boil it.

Drain all the water and make sure the meat is perfectly browned.

Fry the onions and add garlic and ginger just before the onions are fully cooked. At this point, you will have to be careful to make sure the onions don’t burn.

Then add pilau masala, salt, and sugar. Let it cook for about a minute before adding your beef. Cover and leave it for a while.

Add the potatoes and let them cook for a while. Now add your beef broth.

Once the water/broth starts to boil, add your already washed rice. Cover and leave it to cook.

After the rice has boiled for some minutes, reduce the heat and let the rice simmer until it’s cooked.

Serve your pilau with kachumbari and savour the greatness of the delicacy.
